TASKRUNNER / INFORMATION
Security & Control
Powerful computer access should remain explicit, bounded and revocable.
Updated October 6, 2026
Authorization starts with your account
TaskRunner associates enrolled computers with the account that authorized them. A computer must be enrolled before it can participate in account-bound remote operations.
Permissions bound the operation
TaskRunner exposes structured tools rather than promising unrestricted access. Available operations remain subject to the installed service, configured permissions and operating-system access.
Protected communication and credentials
The TaskRunner control plane uses HTTPS. Local credentials and machine authorization material are protected by the installed service and are not intended to be exposed through the public portal.
Revoke what you no longer need
Authorized-device and sign-in-session controls let you withdraw access. Removing or revoking access is part of the normal security model, not an exceptional recovery procedure.
Verified maintenance
Supported installations use the published stable release path for verified updates. This reduces the need to trade security maintenance for convenience.
Your responsibility
Install TaskRunner only on computers you own or are expressly permitted to administer. Grant only the permissions and device access required for the work you intend to perform.
